Inspired by the festivals, traditions, and flavors that define Grand Rapids, the piece honors the community’s rich cultural tapestry. From the lively spirit of Mexican Fest and A Glimpse of Africa, to Native American water blessings and the Grand Rapids Asian-Pacific Islander Festival, the mural highlights the diverse voices, stories, and celebrations that shape downtown life. It’s a tribute to belonging, shared space, and the power of culture to bring us together.
