Artist Statement: “Akasha” is a Sanskrit word meaning “primary substance” that out of which all things are formed. This painting represents the oneness of the universe which we look out unto and which spans within us. The panther represents Gaia or “goddess of mother Earth” intertwined with nature and its inhabitants. Additionally each coordinate down the center of her face represents the chakra energy centers within the human body.
