Statement: Comet is based on a reoccurring dream I’ve had for several years. Much of my work pulls from my dreams. A comet comes crashing to Earth, which of course seems ominous, yet dreams always have a symbolic meaning to them. As it crashes through the background of this image, over and over, the figure stands still, unmoved. She embraces what comes at her with grace and ease. Instead of becoming filled with fear and terror. She accepts what is to come with courage and trusts she will be okey when the dusts settles.
